Let's say that you have people who are designated knowledge managers and you want to give them view access to all files and folders. You will have to do the following steps:
Define the role Knowledge Manager
Add users to this role (through the edit user page)
Go to role privileges page and grant viewprivilege to folders and files to the knowledge manager role
