1.3. Understanding the user interface

The Celoxis application interface is broadly divided into four sections.

Header

On the left is the company name or logo and on the right side are options like Help - for access to documentation, video tutorials and support, Search - to quickly search for information, Print - to print the page.

Menu

This is the main menu of the application.

Page

The main content appears here. A page further contains

Page Title

Indicates what you are currently seeing.

Page Actions

Actions related to what you are seeing. For example, if you are viewing a project actions like Edit. Delete, Clone appear here.

When a page shows tabular data you will notice a few more items.

Action Drop Down

This provides a quick way to perform actions on an item in a row of a table. For example, to edit a project select the Edit option from the drop down. The longer altrenative would be to click on the project name and then select the Edit action on that page.

Multi-item actions

In some tables you can perform an action on multiple row items at once. Only those actions that can be performed on multiple items are shown here. So it is possible that the actions shown here are fewer than those that appear in the action dropdown.

Pick Columns

In most cases it is possible to pick the columns you wish to see.

Footer

This is used to display notices and other information.
